Another trip to the Bollin Valley

Once again, I've been spending quite a bit of time around my favourite haunt, the Bollin Valley around Hale and Altrincham in deepest Cheshire. I find shooting down here really relaxing and it always produces inspiration of one kind or another. On this particular visit, late one afternoon, around an hour or so before sunset, the light was still a little too harsh for my personal preference and had I had the time, I would have much preferred to stick around for a while until the light softened a little. Unfortunately my window of opportunity was limited, and as the saying goes - beggars can't be choosers. So I shot. Both of these images are 3 frame HDR's processed in Nik's HDR Efex Pro with a preset applied in Lightroom (Some will say a little heavy on the processing, but that's the mood I'm in. And I like it!). Short and sweet today - have a backlog of editing that's threatening to overwhelm!
